Getting Jabra Devices to Work with PressONE UC's Web Phone via WebHID

PressONE UC, powered by NetSapiens, now supports WebHID integration for Jabra headsets. This allows users to control basic call functions directly from their Jabra USB headset—such as answering, ending, muting, and unmuting calls—without using the mouse or keyboard.

Supported Setup

  • Browser: Google Chrome version 89 or newer (only supported browser).
  • Connection: Jabra device must be USB-connected. Bluetooth-only devices are not supported unless using a USB dongle (not officially tested).
  • Web Phone Settings: The Jabra device must be selected as both the input and output device in PressONE UC’s web phone settings.

Pairing Your Jabra Device

  1. Log into the PressONE UC web phone. A prompt will appear for unpaired HID devices.
  2. Select your Jabra device from the prompt and click Connect.
  3. Once successful, you'll see a message: "Headset Paired".
  4. You can view your paired devices anytime under Web Phone > Settings.

Notes

Note: If you decline to pair the device, audio may still work, but control buttons will be non-functional.

Expected Call Behavior

  • Incoming calls will ring in your Jabra headset (in-ear and via blinking indicator).
  • Answer calls using the headset button or through the web phone UI.
  • Call status is visually indicated on the headset with an LED.
  • End calls using the headset button or the web interface.

Troubleshooting Tips

Controls Not Working

  • Ensure the device is USB-connected, not Bluetooth-only.
  • Verify the device is shown as paired under Web Phone settings.

No Audio Functionality

Confirm the Jabra device is selected for both microphone and speaker in the Web Phone settings panel.
